More Than 2,000 San Diegans Turn Out For 29th Annual Chargers Blood Drive, Presented by San Diego County Credit UnionPosted: November 21, 2007![]() 1,944 donors gave blood at the annual event in addition to the 3,207 donors that gave during Chargers Mania, held the week preceding the drive, and added some 150 names to the National Bone Marrow Registry More than 2,000 people visited the 29th annual Chargers Blood Drive today helping the San Diego Blood Bank collect 1,944 pints of blood for local hospital patients. This total is in addition to the 3,207 pints of blood given during Chargers Mania, the week preceding the drive. In addition, the blood bank’s Stem Cell Donor Center added some 150 names to the National Marrow Donor Program registry. The blood bank is celebrating this very successful effort by extending “Chargers Mania,” Wednesday, November 21, through Friday, November 30, at all donor centers (listed below) and bloodmobiles. Each donor will be awarded a special limited edition Chargers Blood Drive XXIX long-sleeve, powder blue Quiksilver T-shirt while supplies last (sizes subject to availability).
