91X Awards a Del Mar Race Track Concert Ticket; UltraStar Awards a Movie Pass & K-1 Speed Offers Discounted Races to Donors at K-1 Blood and Bone Marrow Drive

K-1 Speed Carlsbad and 91X are partnering with UltraStar Cinemas to make a difference in our community on Friday, August 14, at a Blood and Bone Marrow Drive at K1 Speed, 6212 Corte Del Abeto #100, Carlsbad 92011. This San Diego Blood Bank drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to the public. 

The first 91 blood donors will be awarded a ticket to A Del Mar Race Track Concert courtesy of 91X; the first 50 donors will also be awarded a UltraStar Cinemas movie pass and K1 Speed Carlsbad will offer blood donors a discount of $14 per race (new racers will add a $2 registration fee) which they may use until November 15, 2009.  No Fear will also be on had to award t-shirts, wristbands, etc. to blood donors. 

Blood donors must be 17 years or older, in good health and weigh more than 110 lbs.  A good meal and plenty of fluids are recommended prior to blood donation. 

Free bone marrow testing will also be offered at this blood drive for those who wish to join the Be The Match registry of the National Marrow Donor Program® with a simple cheek swab. To qualify to join the registry you must:           

• Be between the ages of 18 and 60           

• Be willing to donate to any patient in need           

• Meet the health guidelines
