101 KGB Awards Blood Donors Big Bear Mountain Lift Tickets and Other Amazing "Treats" at 31st Annual Halloween Blood Drive on Friday, October 23

101 KGB, “San Diego's Classic Rock Station,” is celebrating the 31^st anniversary of the KGB Halloween Blood Drive with the San Diego Blood Bank on Friday, October 23.  This year’s event will take place at Sombrero Mexican Food, located in the Ross Shopping Center parking lot at 3225 Sports Arena Blvd., 92110, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The first 101 successful donors will be awarded the choice of one of the following prizes; a lift ticket for Snow Summit and Big Bear Mountain Resorts, passes to Birch Aquarium or tickets to Monster Manor in Mira Mesa.  In addition, Sombrero’s Mexican Food will provide chips, salsa and bunuelos.

Due to the popularity of this event, appointments will not be accepted and prizes will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. 

"Over the past 30 years, the 101 KGB Halloween Blood Drive has become a favorite among our donors," said Lynn Stedd, blood bank spokesperson.  “Halloween is a great time for the blood bank to ‘poke’ fun at ourselves; and KGB is the perfect partner for that.”
