February is often associated with love. At San Diego Blood Bank, we see that reflected in the steady commitment of donors, volunteers, and supporters who help ensure patients have what they need, when they need it.
Every donation plays a role in supporting families during difficult moments and strengthening the community we serve. These actions may be simple, but their impact is lasting.
This month, we want to thank you for continuing to be part of this life-saving work. Your generosity makes a real difference every day.
With appreciation,
Your Blood Bank Family

Sweet Partnership, Life-saving Impact
We’re proud to partner with Girl Scouts San Diego for the second year in a row to inspire blood donations across our region. From October through January, 40 Girl Scout troops across San Diego and Imperial Counties hosted community blood drives, collecting more than 750 pints of blood for hospital patients throughout Southern California. Some lucky donors even met Girl Scouts who stopped by to personally say thank you!

Featured Story: Ashley
Meet our Newest Team Survivor Member
At 32, Ashley welcomed her first child after a smooth pregnancy and uncomplicated delivery. Just days later, she experienced unexpected hemorrhaging and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where she required immediate care and transfusions of red blood cells, plasma, and platelets.
Because those life-saving blood products were available when she needed them the most, Ashley made a full recovery.
Today, she is a healthy and grateful mother of two who donates blood each year in honor of the generous donors who helped her during that critical time.
