Become a part of the Guardians Circle! Pledge to donate blood regularly and play a crucial role in saving lives year-round by ensuring a stable blood supply.

Gallon Milestone Recognition
As a regular blood donor with San Diego Blood Bank, you’ll automatically accumulate gallon milestone credits:
- One (1) credit for whole blood donations
- Two (2) credits for double red, plasma, and platelet apheresis donations
- Three (3) credits for triple platelet donations apheresis donations
Milestones are recognized as you donate and may be tracked in your donor portal.
We celebrate milestones with you through exclusive rewards, including gifts like pins, T-shirts, caps, hooded sweatshirts, and polo shirts. Exclusive clothing items are available in men’s and women’s sizing for a premium fit. You may also receive special congratulatory certificates, emails, and cards, as tokens of our gratitude.
FUN FACT: Getting to that first Gallon is big feat and is exciting for many lifesavers. A whole blood donor achieves one-gallon milestone after eight donations.

Refer-A-Friend Program
Every day, about 350 blood donations are needed to meet the needs of our hospital partners and the patients we serve. Share the joy of saving lives with someone else and receive a $25 e-gift card or other reward. You can earn up to $250 by introducing 10 new donors! Claim your rewards when you Refer-A-Friend!
