At San Diego Blood Bank, we know that everyone has a role to play in saving lives. By participating in our Refer-a-Friend program, you can make blood donation a shared experience that’s not only fulfilling but also rewarding.
Your referrals do more than just increase our donor base; they contribute to a culture of compassion and community health. Starting your “life chain” of referrals amplifies your impact, creating a ripple effect of life-saving action.
We deeply appreciate your participation. Every referral helps us meet our ongoing need for blood donations, ensuring that everyone in need receives the gift of life.
How It Works
- Refer New Donors: Invite friends or family who haven’t donated with us before to schedule an appointment at one of our 10 donor centers or a mobile blood drive.
- Earn Rewards: Receive a $25 reward for every new donor you refer who completes their donation.
- Maximize Your Impact: Earn up to $250 by referring 10 new donors. You also have the option to donate your reward back to support SDBB’s Team Survivor program or our annual Volunteer Appreciation event.
- Claim Your Rewards: Once your referral completes their donation, fill out and submit our online claim form. We’ll confirm the donation and send your reward directly to your email—it’s that simple!
Program Details
- Participants must be 18 or older.
- Referrals must be new donors who haven’t donated with SDBB or Southern California Blood Bank within the last two years.
- To qualify for a reward, your referral must make an appointment AND donate at one of our fixed location donor centers or mobile blood drives.
- Rewards are issued via email as a $25 Amazon or Mastercard e-gift card, or you can opt to donate your reward to our Team Survivor or Volunteer programs.
