San Diego Blood Bank needs all blood types, especially O-negative and O-positive, urgently
As Hurricane Beryl wreaked havoc on the state of Texas earlier this week with storm surges, winds, and flooding, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center endured power losses and city-wide infrastructure damage, impacting their ability to support hospital patients in need.
San Diego Blood Bank has been asked to send blood to the affected area in Texas and we need your help!
Help our neighbors in Texas and our hospitals here at home by scheduling an appointment to donate blood as soon as possible
All blood types are urgently needed, especially the blood types O-positive (O+) and O-negative (O-).
These donations are essential to maintaining a stable and adequate supply of blood in the coming days to ensure patient needs are met Your blood donation will save lives of people in need.
We encourage you to bring a friend, inspire family and colleagues to join you in saving lives. Check out our Refer-A-Friend program that rewards donors for bringing in first-time donors to become lifesavers.
To be eligible to donate blood, you must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in general good health.
