Southern California Blood Bank and Hoag Classic Tee Up to Save Lives During Critical Blood Shortage
Southern California Blood Bank is thrilled to announce our renewed partnership with Hoag Classic, Orange County’s only PGA TOUR Champions event, taking place from March 25th to 29th, 2026. This collaboration will leverage the reach of the tournament to raise awareness about the urgent need for blood donations in our community.
Anyone who donates blood at Southern California Blood Bank’s donor center in the Irvine Business District in February or at select blood drives in February and March will receive a voucher* for one complimentary, single-day ticket to the Hoag Classic (a $50 value).
Eligible blood donors are encouraged to find a location from the list below and schedule an appointment or call (844) 380-5220.
Donating Blood
Blood donors who give at participating blood drives and Irvine get COOL PERKS this February.
Donors will receive a voucher* for one (1) complimentary, single-day ticket to the Hoag Classic (a $50 value).
To donate blood, you must be 17 years old, weigh at least 110 lbs. and be in general good health. View FAQs
Walk-ins are welcome to donate blood. Appointments are available.
Please allow approximately ~1 hour to donate blood. Bring a Photo ID (with date of birth) and arrive hydrated.
All blood types are needed urgently.

What is the Hoag Classic voucher promotion?
Donors at select locations get a voucher* for one (1) complimentary, single-day ticket to the Hoag Classic (a $40 value). Thank you for saving lives with us. The voucher is not a ticket and cannot grant entry to the golf tournament. You must redeem the voucher online to secure your digital ticket to the Hoag Classic. Vouchers may be redeemed online the same-day as your ticket.
Vouchers provide a promo code to redeem online for ANY ONE DAY GROUNDS TICKET (Good Any One Day Ticket — $40.00) Good for any one day providing grounds access into the tournament on one day from Wednesday, March 25 – Sunday, March 29 at the Newport Beach Country Club
IMPORTANT: General admission tickets to the Hoag Classic are only available for purchase electronically. No physical tickets will be available at the admission gate, however, online sales will continue through each day of the tournament.
How do I redeem my voucher for a ticket?
Visit hoagclassic.com and click “purchase tickets here.”
- Scroll down to the second section titled: “Hoag Classic – General Admission Tickets” and add one (1) $40.00 ticket to your cart.
- Click “Check-out” and it will lead you to a page to enter your billing information and your voucher’s promo code.
- Enter Voucher Promotion Code and Click “Apply.”
- Once your code is applied, your total will be $0.00.
- To redeem your voucher, you must enter your billing information as if you were making a purchase to complete registration.
- You will not be charged any fees for redeeming your voucher, only if you desire to purchase any additional tickets.
- If you do not want to enter your information, you will not be able to redeem your voucher and secure a ticket to the event.
- Once the form is complete, you will receive your digital single-day ticket to the Hoag Classic.
Can I donate in San Diego County with San Diego Blood Bank and receive a Hoag Classic voucher?
No. This promotion is limited to donors exclusively at the Irvine location and at Hoag Classic participating blood drives.. The list of blood drives participants may be updated anytime without notice. Please refer to mysdbb.org to find a location.
I’m not eligible to donate blood, but I want these perks. How can I help?
We know it can be hard to wait if you are not donor eligible. We invite everyone to join our Guardian Circle program which helps encourage folks to donate 4 or more times a year and get fun perks and rewards for staying a member.
For those who are not able to donate blood, we invite you to explore other impactful ways to help save lives such as volunteering your time or making a financial gift to help support our operations in Orange County.
